Last week the British Institute for Learning and Development (the BILD), ran a day event on the subject of Virtual Environments which was hosted by BILD members Aviation Training International in Hampshire.
As part of the day, the BILD gave delegates a half hour introduction to the ROLE project and vision. Following this, the BILD staff initiated a discussion to gain members’ views on the vision of ROLE and how they feel ROLE could be used in their organisations.
Questions asked included:
- What do you understand by the meaning of Open Learning Environments?
- What are the benefits of the ROLE vision to you and your organisation?
- What functions/services would you like to get from ROLE?
- How compatible is ROLE with the vision for Learning and Development within your organisation?
Respondents included a variety of Learning and Development professionals accross different sectors and areas of expertise.
The feedback gained was a valuable insight into how the vision of ROLE may be perceived by those working in the Learning and Development field within corporate and industry organisations.
