ROLE PLE Expert Workshop in Leicester

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

University of Leicester, U.K will host a Personalised Learning Environment (PLE) Expert’s Workshop for the ROLE project from 23rd to 24th July 2009. The aim behind organising this Workshop is to share and discuss ROLE visions, implementation and evaluation plans/issues with experts in the field of Personalised Learning Environments. We are expecting to host experts from across Europe and internationally for the Workshop.

The workshop will be held over two days. The first day will comprise a vision sharing exercise where the outcomes of the ROLE Vision Sharing meeting (11-12 May 2009, Vienna) will be presented and discussed with the experts. A couple of group activities will also be organised aimed towards a WP1 deliverable of the project. The second day of the workshop will be facilitated by Open University UK and will be aimed towards a WP5 deliverable. Technical, educational and methodological problems and opportunities presented by each test-bed will be discussed with the experts during the course of the day. The Workshop as a whole will enable networking among ROLE members and PLE experts for collaboration opportunities within and outside ROLE.
