NEXT-TELL – Next Generation Teaching, Education and Learning for Life – is an IP-EU project. Its main objective is to provide, through research and development, computational and methodological support to teachers and students and to bring the 21st Century into the classroom (http://www.next-tell.eu/). The NEXT-TELL project members form the Cognitive Science Section, TUGraz, managed to invite over all 21 teachers, educators and members of the ministry of education of Austria to a one-and-a-half-day workshop. During this workshop, which took place in Bad Waltersdorf in Austria, current EU projects and technology which has been developed were introduced.
Marcel Berthold, TUGraz, invited as a guest speaker, presented the ROLE project, the widget store, Mashup-recommender by his two talks and in two hands-on-sessions and showed the SRL teaser video. He took the opportunity to collect evaluation data of teachers’ perception about self-regulated learning (SRL), the SRL teaser video and the ROLE Mashup-recommender. The opinion about the SRL from teachers point of view and SRL video was over all positive and the teachers reported that the Mashup-recommender would be of good use also for pupils at schools.
