Theme: Strategies for learning in business

Each year, the British Institute for Learning and Development organises and runs 6 FREE member events. Each is based on a different learning and development topic or theme. These events are all based in different regions of the UK and they important to attend for professional development. The events are also a great opportunity to network with fellow BILD members!

The forthcoming Cardiff Connect event will draw on a topic and its related issues which is becoming increasingly relevant for many L&D practitioners as well as learners in the workplace.

How can we build successful strategies for learning in business? What is best practice and what is the cost? Organisations represented at this event will demonstrate some of their stratgies and techniques for implementing learning in business and how we might improve these strategies to become more holistic and inclusive.

In this presentation and discussion session, Ron Mackrell and Chris Sutton, of The Training Foundation, will consider what organisations can do to improve their learning strategies to become more inclusive and holistic in their objectives.

In this presentation, Jack Wills, Director of TADS Media Ltd, will demonstrate how the use of online assessment has become an integral part of employers’ strategy for assessing learning in business. Case studies from a variety of scenarios will be given which illustrate this.
