Successful ROLE presentations at Online Educa 2009 in Berlin
The British Institute for Learning and Developement (BILD) coordinated a series of presentations at Online Educa in Berlin under the title of “Personal Learning Environments: The UK’s vision of the future”. The session was attended by 70 delegates from all over the world. The organisers of Online Educa had underestimated the amount of interest in the subject of Personal Learning Environments (PLEs) and had only provided seats for 50 people.
Karen Velasco, Deputy Chairman of the BILD and a member of the ROLE project board, introduced PLEs in general and then focused on the ROLE project.
The BILD stand was well visited throughout the length of the exhibition with many visitors expressing an interest in ROLE and joining the ROLE mailing list.
TJ Online, the UK’s leading online resource for Learning & Development practitioners, also featured the BILD’s presence at the conference - read the article about it at: “L&D institute flying the flag for UK business at Berlin international conference“.
