Mailinglist

Mailinglist to test the ROLE Prototypes:

ROLE delivers and tests prototypes of highly responsive Personal Learning Environments, ensuring effectiveness, flexibility, user-control, and mass-individualisation. If you like to test and discuss our prototypes, please register to our mailinglist (cf. Privacy Policy):

You will be informed as soon as our first prototype is ready for testing.

Production Schedule:

…………………………..

Information for Users:

The ROLE project aims at building a framework that allows a learner to easily construct (mash up) and maintain her own Personal Learning Environment (PLE). This PLE consist of a mix of preferred learning tools, leanring services, and learning resources. The learner is supported in constructing her PLE by recommending tools and services based on learning goals, knowledge, community context etc. This approach permits individualization of the components, tools, and functionalities of a learning environment, and their adjustment or replacement of existing web-based software tools.

Information for Developers:

The ROLE project is addressed to the open source community who can develop and provide own tools, services and resources within the ROLE framework. This should enable users to construct (mash up) and maintain their own Personal Learning Environments (PLE).

For those interested in joining our ROLE open source community the following information will be available as soon as the first prototype of the ROLE framework is ready for testing:

  • source code repository (github !?)
  • result-demo
  • documentation
  • tools to develop own stuff
  • … ?

Information for Researchers:

ROLE covers six main objectives:

  • to support the individual assembly of accessible learning services, tools and resources
  • to research and develop a psychopedagogically sound framework for supporting
  • the individual composition of learning services
  • to create new engineering methodologies
  • to enable significant contribution to ROLE
  • to develop and sustain an evaluation methodology
  • to exploit and disseminate the ROLE results
  • to wider communities and markets

Information for Stakeholders:

Information to join our Stakeholder Alliance Programm will be available here.
