“The Graspers” team is the new winner of the ROLE Dissemination Trophy

The 2nd annual review of the ROLE project was held at the European Commission building in Luxembourg. At the end of our rehearsal meeting we had the opportunity to again honor the winner of the bi-annually awarded ROLE dissemination trophy.

Winner is the “The Graspers” team, our ROLE partner from EPFL. The team has been awarded for their big effort on the research and developement of Graaasp: a web 2.0 research platform for contextual recommendation with aggregated data.

The new software can be watched in two screencast examples. Moreover you can test the software by using the provided user accounts on our ROLE showcase platform:

The big effort has been completed by publishing the dissertation of Sandy Elhelou with the title: “The 3A Interaction Model and Relation-Based Recommender System: Adopting Social Media Paradigms in Designing Personal Learning Environments”

Many thanks to team leader Denis Gillet in behalf of his “The Graspers” team and special thanks and congratulations to team member Sandy Elhelou as well as Evgeny Bogdanov. We are looking forward to build on these valuable results and are happy to have strengthened the ROLE approach once more.

The ROLE Dissemination Trophy is a challenge cup that is handed to ROLE partners for excellent dissemination work. It is awarded twice a year.
